College cafeterias help allergic students cope

More colleges are responding to the needs of students with food allergies by providing special-order meals, nutritional information for dining-hall selections and separate refrigerators stocked with foods that don't have certain allergens. "Students come to us and want to know, 'What's safe for me to eat?' " said head chef Timothy Trachimowicz of the College of the Holy Cross.
