Florida, Seminoles reach accord on gambling compact

Florida and the Seminole tribe agreed to a gaming compact that will provide the state with more than $1 billion during five years. Gov. Charlie Crist has been attempting to reach an agreement with the tribe, which operates the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Tampa and other properties, since 2007. The compact allows the Seminoles the exclusive right to offer table games at five of their seven casinos.
