Google's AdMob buy gets FTC scrutiny

The Federal Trade Commission is reportedly gearing up to oppose the proposed $750 million acquisition of mobile ad company AdMob by search giant Google. While the five FTC members have yet to vote on the deal, the agency is reportedly concerned that Google will become as dominant in mobile advertising as it is in search advertising. Currently, the mobile advertising market totals about $416 million in the U.S., per eMarketer.
