Health officials warn of distemper outbreak in Calif. county

Distemper outbreaks have been detected among wild raccoons in Los Angeles and Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif., prompting local health officials to remind owners about pet vaccinations. "Dogs need to be vaccinated multiple times in their life to protect them against distemper and several other diseases, including parvo, which is prevalent in our county," a health official said.
