More Illinois schools to get artificial turf

Community Consolidated District 230 in Orland Park, Ill., plans to install synthetic turf at three football stadiums. Some school officials are concerned about the $3.7 million price of the project, but the district director of facilities says $7.9 million is available in the capital projects fund for the next five years and that other projects could be postponed for the new turf.
