Study: Fruit, vegetable consumption has little impact on cancer risk

Eating plenty of fruits and vegetables appears to provide little or no protection from cancer, U.S. researchers concluded after a study of 470,000 European men and women. Heavy drinkers experienced the most gains from such a diet, but only for smoking- and alcohol-related cancers, researchers reported in the Journal of the National Cancer Institute.
