U. of North Carolina gets $14.5M boost for animal research

The National Institutes of Health has awarded the University of North Carolina about $14.5 million in animal-research grants as part of the stimulus package. UNC will use the grants to fund the construction of two animal-research buildings at its Bingham center and will create another building for veterinary services, laboratories and offices.
