Univision, rivals have different approaches to upfront

Univision, which didn't hold an upfront showcase last year, on May 20 will preview its fall programming for ad buyers at an event at New York's Jazz at Lincoln Center. Fledgling Spanish-language network Estrella will gives its presentations during visits to New York, Los Angeles, Miami and four other cities. However, Telemundo is not holding an upfront, in favor of individual meetings with clients, and a gala event in Puerto Rico tied to the Billboard Latin Music Awards.
