Wash. intermodal hub launches "cold train" to Chicago

An inland port in Quincy, Wash., has been "cold train" shipping service on Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway to Chicago. The service is designed to connect food producers in the Pacific Northwest with consumers in the Midwest, creating "an intermodal pipeline between two of the largest cold storage and distribution operators," according to Columbia Colstor cold storage company.
