ADA encourages colorful diet of fruits and vegetables

The American Dietetic Association says consumers should incorporate more color in their diet by choosing a diverse selection of fruits and vegetables such as jicama, beets, blackberries, avocado, carrots and cherries. One quick, easy way to incorporate more color is to use frozen or low-sodium canned vegetables, registered dietitian Deborah Eck said.
