Missouri bill calls for insurers to have cost estimate websites

Missouri lawmakers are considering a bill to require health insurers to create websites that give people estimates of out-of-pocket and total costs for medical procedures and tests. Bill sponsor Sen. Rob Schaaf, R-St. Joseph, a physician, said price estimates would reduce health care costs.
