NCSL asks GOP to leave malpractice reform to states

The National Conference of State Legislatures has asked House Republicans to leave medical liability law reform to the states. Malpractice reform, including a damages cap at $250,000, is part of the GOP's strategy to change the Affordable Care Act, but the NCSL said in a letter to lawmakers a "one-size-fits-all" plan would not consider unique factors in each state.
