New Mexico veterinary board mulls pet massage restrictions

The New Mexico Board of Veterinary Medicine is considering revisions to its animal care standards, including requiring pet massages to be done under a veterinarian's supervision. The proposed changes are meant to make veterinary rules consistent with state laws mandating that therapeutic procedures be performed only by licensed veterinarians, the board said.
