SFO's new terminal mixes luxury with sustainability

San Francisco International Airport's upgraded Terminal 2 is being called a mixture of luxury and sustainability. The $383 million improvements include energy-efficient fixtures, bins for composting, recycling and trash as well as flooring made from recycled material -- about 90% of the original building content was recycled. "This is the future of airports," said Jared Blumenfeld of the Environmental Protection Agency.
