Some Tenn. teachers to be evaluated on schoolwide test scores:

A new evaluation system for teachers in Tennessee will measure some teachers' effectiveness based on their schools' overall test scores -- not their own teaching. Teachers who teach tested subjects will be evaluated based on the results of their students' standardized tests. However, those educators who teach non-tested subjects such as physical education and art -- roughly two-thirds of the state's teachers -- will be evaluated on schoolwide scores.
