Survey: Wireless devices are a key part of car shopping

Almost 80% of the iPhone, iPod touch and Android users who plan to buy a car in the next 12 months will use their wireless devices to help with their purchases, with half of those doing so to conduct research, according to a survey by the Greystripe mobile advertising network. The company found that 26% of the users planned to buy a car in the next year, a higher proportion than among the U.S. population as a whole.
