Upscale burger concepts are on the upswing

Chefs have launched new innovations in upscale burgers from coast to coast, and Pittsburgh's culinary artists have been busy launching their own versions of the traditional favorite. Most menus also include designer veggie burgers, and some chefs are moving beyond beef, such as chef Brian Pekarcik at BRGR, whose lengthy menu includes turkey, salmon and Kobe beef burgers.
