EPA tells court it will take another look at 2011 cellulosic target

The Environmental Protection Agency has filed a court motion to voluntarily reconsider its 2011 blending target for cellulosic ethanol. The agency asked the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia to put on hold the oil-industry lawsuits against the Renewable Fuel Standard while it re-evaluates the blending target. The Renewable Fuels Association and other trade groups said the EPA's motion won't derail "the industry's progress in developing technologies that reduce dependence on foreign oil and contribute to a cleaner environment."
