One Thousand Museum, a plush condo tower that will be home to only 83 units, is set to break ground in June on Biscayne Boulevard in Miami. Designed by architect Zaha Hadid, the 62-story skyscraper features a concrete exoskeleton that moves and curves with each floor plan but remains rigid, stiff and hurricane resistant, explains Chris Lepine, a project director at Zaha Hadid Architects. "We had this idea of a fluidity that is both structural and architectural," Lepine says. The tower also includes parking at several levels and retail on the lower floors.
