Conn. startup receives 4th state grant to produce biobased specialty chemicals

P2 Science, a specialty chemical firm in New Haven, Conn., has received $500,000 from Connecticut Innovations, the state's technology investment agency. The funds are intended for the company's large-scale production of specialty chemicals from renewable feedstocks such as soy, palm and grass, using a new pilot reactor. The grant was the fourth that Connecticut Innovations has awarded to P2.
