Craft brews graduate to the cellar

Craft beer connoisseurs are building bigger collections at a lower price than most wine collectors, but they're following many of the same guidelines with a focus on terroir and age as beers move to the cellar. Not all beers age well so new collectors should focus on strong, dark beers that are bottle-conditioned, said Bill Sysak of Stone Brewing. Top beers to stick in the cellar include Deschutes The Abyss, Hair of the Dog's Adam and the Sierra Nevada Bigfoot.
