Del. initiative seeks to increase school breakfast participation

Delaware Gov. Jack Markell and Delaware Food Bank officials recently announced a program that would make schools eligible for grants if they increase participation in the U.S. Department of Agriculture's school breakfast program. The initiative was announced at a recent conference on hunger, in light of data showing 52% of students in the state who qualify for free or reduced-price lunches at school also receive breakfasts.
