RD says intermittent fasting may lead to overeating

Krista Varady of the University of Illinois says an intermittent-fasting plan she developed helps people lose an average of 10 to 30 pounds in eight weeks, and about 90% of the weight loss is fat. However, registered dietitian Joy Dubost said the diet could lead to overeating. "When you forbid foods, people tend to over-consume," Dubost said.
