Student-led program shows promise in reducing intake of sugary drinks

A student-led intervention aimed at curbing consumption of sugary drinks was linked to an almost 30% decline in the number of days per week high-school students drank such beverages, a study in the Journal of School Health showed. During the study period, researchers also noted a 30% increase in water intake among the students.
