Study: Milk may benefit women with knee arthritis

Women who drink fat-free or low-fat milk may help reduce the rate at which their osteoarthritis worsens, but the effects were not seen among men or from using other dairy products, such as yogurt, according to a study in the journal Arthritis Care and Research. The study found that women who did not drink milk had higher decreases in the joint space width in their knees compared with women who drank multiple glasses of milk per week.
