Deep-water outfall project protects Washington state habitat

A deep-water outfall project in Everett, Wash., is receiving praise for protecting the habitat of surrounding waterways. The pipeline, which is a joint effort between the Kimberly-Clark paper mill and the cities of Everett and Marysville, will carry wastewater deep into the Port Gardner Bay and replace old discharge locations along the Snohomish River.
