Xbox 360 to receive instant-messaging service

Microsoft has announced it will bring its popular Windows Live Messenger service to the company's Xbox 360 gaming console. An update, scheduled to be released May 7, will allow Xbox users to download the messaging service, as Microsoft looks to remain competitive with Sony's PlayStation 3 console.
