FAA reassigns regional safety official

The FAA said it has reassigned the head of its Fort Worth, Texas-based regional flight-standards office from overseeing safety oversight operations to administrative duties. Thomas Stuckey supervised inspectors assigned to Southwest Airlines, and an FAA official last week testified that Stuckey did not act on warnings that the airline received preferential treatment from some inspectors.
