Daiichi, Lilly unveil blood thinner in U.K.

Eli Lilly and Co. and Daiichi Sankyo introduced Efient, an anti-clotting drug also known as prasugrel, into the U.K. market. Efient, which is awaiting approval from the FDA, is expected to compete with Plavix, a rival product from Sanofi-Aventis and Bristol-Myers Squibb.
