Layoffs: That's entertainment?

The Fox network plans to air a reality television show in which faltering companies open their books to workers, who then get to decide who among them will get fired. As the producers describe it, it's a win-win-win: Employees have their say on each other's worth and salary, bosses are off the hook for difficult layoff decisions, and viewers get to sit back and watch someone's life devastated on national TV.
