Mesa pulling out of China, disputing Delta contracts

Mesa Air Group revealed in an SEC filing that it will sell its stake in a Chinese joint venture for a net $3.6 million. Mesa invested $5.8 million in the Chinese regional carrier in late 2006. Mesa also said it was continuing a contract dispute with Delta Air Lines, after the world's largest carrier attempted to terminate contracts for regional service. "The parties are currently in disagreement regarding the effectiveness of a notice issued by Mesa to extend the term of these aircraft for an additional one year term at reduced compensation," Mesa said.
