Stearman Fly-In co-founder named to Ill. Aviation Hall of Fame

National Stearman Fly-In co-founder Thomas E. "Tom" Lowe has been named to join the Illinois Aviation Hall of Fame. Lowe and a friend, both owners of pre-war civilian Stearman airplanes, held a one-time gathering for other Stearman owners in 1972, and the event has since become one of the premiere tourism events in Galesburg, Ill., attracting as many as 140 airplanes.
