"Stress test" results might force Geithner to seek more funds

Results of the government's "stress tests" on 19 of the country's largest banks are due at the end of the month and could put Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner in the position of returning to Congress for more funding to fight the financial crisis. "Most people who study this closely think that the administration will have to go back to Congress for more money," said Doug Elliott of the Brookings Institution.
