Very obese adults sedentary more than 99% of the day

A study of 10 men and women with a body mass index higher than 40 found that the participants spent an average of 23 hours and 52 minutes sleeping, sitting or lying down each day. The participants averaged about 3,700 steps per day, compared to the 10,000 steps that are recommended for healthy living.
