Analyst: Redbox weighs Netflix-like subscription/streaming

Redbox, the company that rents DVDs from red kiosks, is considering a plan to add a monthly subscription service and online-streaming service, according to Eric Wold, an analyst with Merriman Curhan Ford. If it pans out, the new offerings would put Redbox in direct competition with Netflix, a popular service with a subscription/streaming model.
