Lawn-care management is the best way to deal with weeds

Several factors can cause a weed problem on a lawn, including too much water and fertilization, the wrong grass variety that allows weeds to enter the turf and mowing the grass too close, writes John Marra. Maximizing lawn-care management can reduce the weed problem, and in the spring, gardeners need to prevent crabgrass seeds from germinating, he notes.
