New ad technologies seen as boon for VOD

Dynamic ad insertion and addressable advertising will help video-on-demand providers keep the ads that run with their content as fresh as possible, according to this report. Perfecting these technologies, however, remains a work in progress: "The reality is that it is still early days," said Carolyn Everson of MTV Networks. "I think there is more momentum and progress this year."
