Officials to fight effort to exempt end-users from derivatives rules

Senior officials in the Obama administration said they will challenge efforts to exempt some end-users of derivatives from new trading restrictions. "The idea that all end-users of derivatives somehow be absolved from having to clear their trades is something that we do not agree with ... and we will fight hard to oppose," said Neal Wolin, deputy secretary at the Treasury Department.
