Shareholders back Liberty's plan to split into 2 companies

A majority of shareholders at the U.K.'s Liberty International voted to back the plan to split the mall owner into two companies, with one focusing on retail and the other on London developments. Although the move still needs legal approval, Capital Shopping Centres Group and Capital & Counties Properties are expected to start trading separately May 10.
