Student with hearing impairments is basketball all-star

New Mexico high-school senior Karina Mitchell is the top athlete at the New Mexico School for the Deaf, where she plays point guard on the school's basketball team. Basketball and other sports have allowed Mitchell to travel to compete in a number of other states, and she has been chosen to play in a national all-star tournament Friday in Kentucky.
