Study: Job openings for young lawyers fall sharply

Research suggests that aspiring lawyers could have a tough time finding work this summer. An analysis of Pennsylvania law firms found the number of summer-associate openings declining 57% from last year, with about half of those openings expected to lead to a job offer. "My message to students is they really can't count on this at all," says one law-school assistant dean.
