Survey: Majority of Californians support state's climate law

A Field Poll survey found that 58% of California residents support that state's greenhouse-gas law, which is being opposed by a number of Texas-based oil companies. The California climate law aims to reduce greenhouse-gas emissions by 15% below current levels by 2020. The Field Poll also found that 69% of Californians believe that the state can cut emissions "and expand jobs and economic prosperity at the same time," down from 74% in 2008 and 83% in 2007.
