Marriott reportedly plans a 3,500-room resort in Las Vegas

The Nevada Gaming Control Board was told this week that Marriott International is interested in developing a 3,500-room resort-hotel across from the Las Vegas Convention Center. Rob Woodson of United Coin Machine sought a gaming license to temporarily operate slot machines to preserve the license at the site, formerly a small club. Woodson said an executive at Marriott, which is a client of United Coin Machine, told him by e-mail that the hotel company plans to build a resort there.
