Rep. Upton gets ACC's support in effort to scale back EPA's climate rules

House Energy and Commerce Committee Chairman Fred Upton, R-Mich., is facing criticism from liberal activists and environmental groups in his home state for his stance against the Environmental Protection Agency's climate regulations. The American Chemistry Council released an advertisement in support of the lawmaker ahead of Thursday's House vote on EPA's rules. "These attacks come with the territory, and I have no intention of allowing these well-funded groups to bully ... Congress out of doing the right thing," Upton said.
