Heavier men are more likely to underestimate their weight

A survey of 3,500 college applicants found that about a third did not report their weight correctly, with overweight and obese men less aware of their real weight than their female counterparts. "This misperception is important because the first step in dealing with a weight problem is knowing that you have one," researcher Margarita Teran-Garcia says.
