High sense of self-efficacy might boost diabetes care

Type 2 diabetes patients who had high scores in self-efficacy had better control of their diets, exercise regimens, medication adherence and blood glucose levels, a study in the Journal of Diabetes and its Complications revealed. Patients and educators should focus on boosting self-confidence to help improve diabetes management, researchers said.
