An elementary school in Arkansas recently celebrated its school nutrition professionals and janitorial staff through an appreciation week. Students gave gifts to the cafeteria staff, including aprons that read, "Be nice. I cook your food." Principal Donna Singleton described food service as one of the jobs that keeps the school going each day. "They're an intricate part of our school community and we certainly value them," she said. "Without them, we couldn't have school."
