Study: Financial advisers fail to address women's needs

Financial advisers often do not connect with women and lose them as clients because advisers offer the same messages and services, disregarding women's different needs, according to a study by the Family Wealth Advisors Council. "A recent graduate who has student loan debt and is participating in a company 401(k) plan for the first time does not have the same needs as a married woman with children or a widow living off insurance proceeds," the study says.
