Demand for STEM teachers brings training programs

There has been an increase in the number of graduate schools offering teacher-certification programs to professionals working in science, technology, engineering and math fields. For example, the University of Akron in Ohio, with support from the Woodrow Wilson Teaching Fellowship, offers a two-year track in which career-changers are immersed in a classroom setting from the beginning.
