HR firm sees structural shift in workplace benefits

Fewer U.S. companies are offering generous benefits as they attempt to compete in the global economy, says Laura Sejen with human resources consulting firm Towers Watson. Employee wages have not kept pace with growth in health care costs, and lately executive benefits have declined, too, according to the Society for Human Resource Management.
